5.0"Overall, I had a great experience during the whole purchase and delivery process. The only part I couldn't give the dealer a 10 was the "Courtesy and attentiveness upon arrival". It was raining the day I arrived for a test drive. I guess nobody wanted to go out in the rain. It took about 10 minutes before I could find someone to help me with a test drive. 2.0"I originally came in to order my Mini in November 2011. At that time, I negotiated a price (well over the Blue Book amount) for my trade in and reached an acceptable price for the new Mini. Because I was concerned that one to two months might elapse between order and delivery, I asked to speak to the sales manager to confirm that the negotiated price for my trade would not change substantially. He assured me that, as long as the car had no major damage or changes, the price would not change significant though there may be a SLIGHT adjustment for mileage etc. However, when I went to pick up my new Mini in January 2012, the sales manager (a new sales manager, because the old one had left) told me that my car was now worth $1700 less simply because of more mileage, even though the Blue Book value had only decreased by $200. Simply unacceptable! I felt as if I had been baited and switched. At least, they were still offering me the negotiated price for my new car. Eventually, after some heated exchange, they agreed to a compromise on my trade that was a decent offer but still $700 less than the original offer. I am very pleased with my new Mini and the ordering process was very smooth but the sales experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. Why go in and spend hours negotiating a price upon order only to have them "adjust" that price a few months later when they know that they have you hooked (because your new car is sitting right there!)? 5.0"When we first walked throught the door and were greeted by Vitaly, we were taken care of and listened to. We knew what we wanted and Vitaly answered all of our questions or found the answers if not part of his field of experience. He was knowledgeable and helpful from showing us the basics of the Mini and finding us the car that fit all of our requirements and needs and more. The Mini we first drove was the car we purchased, and the easiest time we have ever had in buying a car. From sales to finance to other personal we spoke to during our visit we never felt anything but caring in making sure we purchased the car that best fit and included all of the requirements we first came thru the door with and and others that we had not anticipated, but were glad they were brought to our attention so that the choice we made was the right one, and one with no regrets. We thank all of the Mini team, and we see and can feel that it is a proud team or family all striving trying to give the best of what you have to offer, a very fine car, and excellent service from the start. 4.0"I went to the Steven's Creek dealership for a diagnosis to my car to find out that my extended warranty was only covered in Pleasanton. I was able to be seen the same day in Pleasanton but the whole situation was quite stressful as Steven's Creek had no record of my extended warranty and originally told me I did not have one. It seems to me that all dealerships should have a complete record of mini cars and should be able to work on the car regardless of where the warranty was purchased. My service representative at Steven's Creek was fantastic, friendly, sincere and helped me find the answers I needed. Once I got to Pleasanton, my service representative, Scott, while informative was less sincere and didn't care much for the debacle I had just gone through. He simply "uh huh'ed" everything I told him. It was mediocre service at best and I expected more from Mini. He was very informative after my car was being serviced when he called by phone. This is not what I signed up for. The service people reset the mpg meter, yet it is still having the same issue. I have calculated the mpg myself, and I do only get 18-19mpg. Unacceptable. I am trying to contact the headquarters to resolve this situation to my satisfaction. I bought this car for its efficiency, and I will be extremely angry if this cannot be rectified."
