Jump starting another car is the process of transferring electricity from the battery of your vehicle to the battery of the vehicle that had a dead battery. This requires jumper cables, and is an easy process if you have the right equipment.
Turn off your vehicle, and identify the positive and negative ports on your battery. The red jumper cables should be used first. Take one red clamp and attach it to the dead battery. Then attach the red jumper cable to the battery that works. Your next step is to attach the black jumper cable clamp to the dead battery and then last the black cable to your good battery.
Once cables are in place, start the vehicle that has the good battery. Allow a few minutes to pass so the dead battery gets charged. Try starting the dead battery vehicle. Once it starts, take off the cables carefully and avoid clamps touching.
